ACT Clutch Discs: Lancer

ACT clutch discs are available in 3 styles:

sprung hub street disc (3000312):

• has a full friction surface and the centre hub is cushioned with springs
• best suited for a daily driver, but is also perfectly acceptable for occasional track use

sprung hub 6-puck disc (6224704):

• has a 6-puck friction surface and the centre hub is cushioned with springs
• best suited for vehicles with substantial power that require some extra "bite" in getting the power to the ground
• 6-puck surface is a little "grabbier" than the solid street disc but most people find it easily tolerable
• many people consider this a perfectly acceptable disc for a daily driver, but realistically, it can get tiresome quickly in heavy city traffic. Certainly its true potential is realized at the track.
• best suited to a vehicle that sees a good amount of track and/or weekend pleasure use.

solid hub 6-puck disc (6224004):

• there's no way to sugar-coat this: this disc will give HARSH engagement. With no springs to cushion the centre hub, this disc delivers ALL the power very quickly and effectively. While that may SOUND great, the reality is a little different. If your clutch isn't absorbing some of your engine's power, then something else is: t-case, driveshaft, axles, diff, hubs, etc, etc. That power's got to go somewhere before it gets to the pavement!
• generally considered strictly a RACE disc to be used on a vehicle that sees virtually no street use.

NOTE: These are clutch discs ONLY, they are NOT complete clutch kits.

NOTE: While many people have used ACT clutch discs with non-ACT pressure plates with complete success, neither RTM Racing nor ACT recommends it or can guarantee compatability.
