This heat barrier gasket replaces the stock gasket and forms a heat barrier between the intake manifold and the cylinder head. This gasket dramatically reduces intake temperatures, but unlike actual "phenolic" gaskets, this gasket IS the gasket, and does not require the use of OEM gaskets on either side of it!
NOTE: It should be noted that this gasket is designed to work with a 2g head / 2g intake manifold combination. If you've got a 1g head or 1g intake manifold (as may be the case with a 6-bolt swap for example) this gasket will not work.

EVO (I-III).
