RTM Oil Filter Sandwich Adapter Fitting

This fitting (which is M20x1.5x50mm long) is used with an oil filter sandwich adapter when one intends to remove the factory water-cooled oil cooler on a DSM/EVO. 

This fitting replaces the factory unit with a much shorter fitting.  (The factory unit is MD143507: OEM Oil Filter Housing Oil Cooler Fitting). For details, please refer to the "Related products" section near the bottom of the page).

The factory unit's function is to deliver oil from the oil filter housing to the inlet port on the oil filter.  To do so, it bypasses the oil cooler thru an access port up the center of the cooler.  The reason this fitting is so long is that it must traverse the entire thickness of the factory water-cooled oil cooler.

RTM-546 accomplishes the same function except that it is much shorter since it need only traverse the thickness of the sandwich adapter (which is much thinner than the factory water-cooled oil cooler).

The M20x1.5 thread matches the female threads on the oil port of the filter housing as well as the female threads of the oil filter.
