OEM Rear Toe Control Arms: 2g DSM AWD

Genuine OEM parts.

These are the control arms that attach at the outboard end to the rear knuckle (via a ball joint--which is included with the control arm) and on the inboard end to the rear subframe via a bushing and an eccentric bolt assembly. It is this eccentric bolt assembly (called a toe adjustment bolt kit) which allows toe adjustment in the rear wheels.

There are two rear toe control arms found on a 2g DSM AWD:
MR162573 (RH side)
MR162574 (LH side)

MR162573 has been discontinued by Mitsu and is no longer available.
MR162574 has been discontinued by Mitsu but we still have a small qty remaining.

This presents something of a dilemma.  What to do if you wish to replace both toe control arms on your vehicle?  Well, as it happens, RTM has a solution for you.

As it happens, the toe control arms for 2g FWD and 2g AWD are VERY similar to each other.  The only difference is in the width of the bushing sleeve on the inboard end.  On AWD arms, the sleeve is slightly longer than the sleeve on FWD arms.  This means you can take a toe control arm intended for a FWD and "convert" it for use in an AWD by adding a spacer (of the appropriate length) to one side of the inboard sleeve.  That's it.  Easy peasy.  The spacers are made of stainless steel, so they should outlast your vehicle.  (We refer to these spacers as RTM-9171: RTM Rear Toe Control Arm Bushing Sleeve Spacers.  For details, please refer to the "Related products" near the bottom of the page).
