Topline OE-Style Cast Pistons: EVO 1-3

These pistons are best suited to stock or modest performance rebuilds. These are OE-style cast aluminum pistons made by Topline.

For guys going with a full-blown big HP rebuild, forged pistons are probably the way to go. Forged DO have advantages over cast (mostly it's their ability to safely handle the increased stress of big horsepower). However, forged DO have disadvantages over cast: they're significantly more expensive and they're more prone to expansion and contraction from temperature changes. (This extra expansion/contraction phenomenon is the root cause of the so-called "forged piston slap" which can exist at engine startup before the pistons heat up). Anyway, the point is, if you don't actually NEED forged pistons, you probably shouldn't get them.

These cast pistons are perfectly adequate for modest horsepower rebuilds. Just like the official OEMers, these pistons have a thermo coating on top to handle the high-heat environment of a turbocharged engine.

Each kit comes complete with four pistons and all required rings & pins.

All pistons below are for the 4G63 turbo engine, 4G63 NT use different pistons.
