These fittings allow you to adapt the fuel rail on your DSM/EVO to allow -AN fittings to be used. This means you can take advantage of an entire world of aftermarket fuel upgrade components without being restricted to the funky stock fuel rail inlet and outlets. (We carry a number of these upgrade components/kits ourselves. Please refer to the separate entries elsewhere on the site).

These precision pieces are CNC machined in-house from 6061-T6 billet aluminum. These fittings attach to the fuel rail exactly as the OEM units do: they bolt to a flange at the end of the rail with a protruding portion that fits inside the rail and is sealed with a rubber o-ring (this rubber o-ring can be purchased separately in case yours ever become damaged). The outer portion of the fitting is male -AN (either 6 or 8). This allows you to attach virtually ANY -AN plumbing (hose, hose ends, fittings, etc) to the fuel rail. And yes, we mean ANY, not just -6 or -8AN, since fittings (or combination of fittings) exist to convert nearly any size -AN to nearly any other size -AN.

Fittings are available for both the inlet and outlet of the fuel rail. Each fitting is also available in either -6AN or -8AN. We're going to let you in on a little secret: the -8AN fittings offer little or no flow advantage over the -6AN. This is due to the fact that the inner bore of the portion that sits inside the rail is the same for both. The only reason the -8AN exist is to simplify the plumbing for those using -8AN components elsewhere in their fuel system.

Fittings come complete with O-ring and stainless mounting bolts and lock washers.

NOTE: For those who wish to run -AN plumbing larger than -6AN to or from the fuel rail, you can do so by using an adapter to convert the -AN size of your plumbing to the -AN size of your fuel rail fitting(s).  For an example of these adapters please refer to the "Related products" section near the bottom of the page.  In that particlar product, you'd use (for example) a -8AN male to -6AN female adapter to convert the -6AN fitting of the fuel rail to your -8AN plumbing.

NOTE: We recommend using a small amount of engine oil on the -AN male threads of these fittings when attaching a hose end. This is due to the fact that aluminum threads have a tendency to gall if threaded in a dry state. Teflon or any other thread sealant is NOT recommended on an -AN thread.

NOTE: The 1g DSM fuel rail uses one style of fitting for the inlet and another style for the outlet. The 2g DSM and EVO fuel rails use the same style fitting for both the inlet and the outlet. Please note that these fittings are designed to match the FUEL RAIL in your vehicle, NOT the body style, etc--this is meaningful in this age where engine and component swaps are common.

NOTES on E85 and other HIGH-ALCOHOL CONTENT FUEL: The o-ring included with each of our fuel rail fittings is made of buna-N synthetic rubber which is compatible with all high-alcohol content fuel such as E85, ethanol, etc.
