OEM Alternator Hardware: 2g DSM/EVO 1-3

Genuine OEM parts.

We carry all the various hardware components associated with the OEM alternator.

An explanation of the components follows:

• adjusting bracket: This is the long curved bracket that's fastened at one end at one of the water pump bolts and retains the adjustment bolt at the other end.
• adjustment bolt (MD133180): This is the bolt that allows adjustment of the alternator belt tension. The unthreaded portion beneath the head sits in the slot at the end of the adjustment bracket and the threaded portion threads into the alternator adjustment nut.
• adjustment nut (MD133152): This is the part that moves along the adjustment bracket as the adjustment bolt is tightened/loosened.
• locking bolt (MF140233): This is bolt that passes thru the adjustment nut and adjustment bracket and into the housing of the alternator. This locks the alternater in position at the desired belt tension.
• pivot bolt (MD162904): This is the bolt that attaches the lower end of the alternator to its mounting bracket. It is also the bolt that the alternator pivots on when the belt tension is being adjusted.

NOTE: The adjusting bracket by itself is not available from Mitsu.  What Mitsu refers to as the bracket (MD169048) includes the bracket, the adjustment bolt, and the adjustment nut.
