FelPro Oil Pan Gasket: EVO 1-3

EVOs came from the factory without a gasket at the oil pan. Instead, Mitsu chose to use silicone sealant to seal the pan. Of course, if this happens to be a proper non-leaking seal then all's well. However, it is something of a nuisance to use only silicone to seal the pan when the time comes to remove/re-install it. Anyone who's tried to mount an oil pan with a wet bead of silicone on the flange and contort it in various positions to clear the various protrusions and obstructions knows what we're talking about!

This gasket eliminates most of that headache. Incidently, for those who feel silicone is an excellent seal (and, to be sure, it is) many owners put a thin coating of silicone on both sides of the gasket before installing it to ensure a more positive seal.
