OEM Centre Diff Output Shaft Retaining Ball: DSM

This is the steel ball that sits inside a hole in the centre diff output housing and meshes with a grove in the output shaft. This is what retains the shaft in place. Without this retaining ball, when the transfer case is separated from the tranny, the shaft would have a tendancy to come with it! If this has ever happened to you, you've probably wondered if it was SUPPOSED to do that. Well, it isn't and if it has, you're probably missing this ball.
