Prothane Replacement Engine Mount Bushings: 2g DSM

There are four engine/tranny mounts on a 2g DSM:

• upper (tranny) mount (13-501)
• t-belt side mount (13-503)
• front roll stopper (13-502)
• rear roll stopper (13-504)

The front and rear roll stopper bushings are not replaced but "inserts" are placed inside the existing mount to help stiffen it up. For the two side mounts, the stock interior rubber bushings are completely replaced with the urethane units from the kit. The net effect of using this Prothane kit is much less engine movement on the mounts. This can be both good and bad. The good: less stress on drivetrain components, better handling, etc. The bad: more engine vibrations, etc. are felt in the cockpit.

NOTE: The bushing for the t-belt side mount is the same for both M/T and A/T equipped vehicles. All other mounts and inserts (tranny mount, front roll stopper, rear roll stopper) are for M/T equipped vehicles only, they will NOT work with A/T equipped vehicles.
