MaxiScan MS300 OBDII Code Reader

The MaxiScan MS300 code reader can be used to retrieve error codes for any vehicle with the OBDII protocol. Reads both generic codes and manufacturer specific DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes). The MS300 can also be used to clear all codes and clear the CEL (Check Engine Light). On vehicles with Mode 9 protocol (generally 2002 and newer) the vehicle's VIN can also be retrieved. Simply plugs into the OBDII port. The MS300 requires no batteries as it's powered via the OBDII cable. Includes software CD and user manual. DSMers TAKE NOTE: Even though the OBDII protocol was officially mandated for vehicles beginning in model year 1996, some manufacturers (Mitsu for example) introduced the OBDII protocol in some of their vehicles beginning in the 1995 model year. It's our understanding that ALL 2g DSMs (including 95's) are OBDII compliant. Certainly, if your vehicle has the 16-pin OBDII port, it's OBDII compliant. We've tried this code reader on one of our personal vehicle's (a 95 with an early build date) and it functions perfectly.
