OEM Fuel Filter: 2gNT

Genuine OEM part.

The OEM fuel filter uses either one banjo fitting or two banjo fittings (depending on model year). Each banjo fitting is sealed with two copper crush washers. When replacing your fuel filter you SHOULD replace these crush washers as well. (Actually, anytime a sealing washer is disturbed--that is removed, loosened, etc, it should be replaced. The reason being is that the crush washer will deform slightly (or "crush") to seal any imperfections, surface irregularities, etc in the sealing surfaces. Once the washer is disturbed, the chances of it re-deforming in the correct way again are greatly diminished). For this reason, for your convenience, we offer the OEM filter with a new set of copper crush washers as an option.

NOTE: Two different filters were used on 2g DSM N/T: one for 1995 model year (MB504764) and one for 1996-99 model years (MR188221). The 1995 model year uses a single banjo fitting on the outlet of the filter (which is the one on top), the 1996-99 model years use two banjo fittings (for both the outlet (on top) and the inlet (on bottom)).
