Weld Bungs (Aluminum)

We carry a large variety of aluminum weld bungs for many applications. Available in male and female fitting, -AN, NPT, straight metric, etc. These bungs are used in applications where the object to be welded to is aluminum. The idea being that aluminum can only be welded to aluminum and no other metal. If you wish to weld a bung to steel you must use a steel bung (which we also carry, for details please refer to the "Related products" section near the bottom of the page).

These bungs can be used virtually anywhere a bung is required:

• gauge sending units
• ports for valve cover venting
• ports for catch cans
• engine mangement sensors
• various custom applications such as turbo oil return lines, coolant lines, etc

Some specific examples of use:

• 1/8 NPT: most meth nozzles
• 3/8 NPT: GM IAT sensor

NOTE: All bungs available in drop-down are not necessarily in photo. 

NOTE: 1/16" NPTF bungs are 1.5" long.

NOTE: In one of the prompts below, the choice of "-AN (ORB) female" refers to a bung whose thread matches the -AN male counterpart but does not seal on the 37-degree sealing surface.  Rather, it would properly seal on an o-ring (thus the ORB designation).  However, for applications that do not require an absolute seal, these bungs are perfectly suitable for -AN female applications.
