Ford Cobra Front Brake Calipers

These are the calipers needed to upgrade your DSM/EVO 1-3 to the "Cobra Front Big Brake Upgrade".

There is NO core charge associated with these calipers. They are professionally remanufactured calipers with every component except the bare casting replaced with new (pistons, seals, bleeders, pins, hardware, etc).  A new banjo bolt and sealing crush washers are included with each caliper.

It should be noted that in some cases, the "COBRA" logo is cast into the caliper, in other cases, there is no logo.

NOTE: There is an "L" or an "R" cast into each caliper to indicate left (drivers) or right (passenger) side. This designation is for the Ford Cobra (which, afterall, is what these calipers were designed for). The only difference between left and right calipers is the location of the bleeder screw (which is supposed to point upward when mounted to the vehicle). As it happens, the Ford Cobra has its front calipers mounted rearward on the axle, while a DSM has its front calipers mounted forward on the axle. The net effect of the different mounting positions is, that when used on a DSM, these calipers should be mounted on the opposite side of the designation cast into them. That is--the "L" caliper should be mounted on the right side and the "R" caliper mounted on the left side. This keeps the bleeder screw pointed in the proper direction.
